Thoughts on simian lines

I think simian lines are an interesting phenomenon. A prominent singular horizontal crease on the palm, taking the place of both the heart and head lines that most people tend to have. Aside from having a high correlation with various genetic disorders, it is meant to be very rare to have this, even more so on both palms.

While I don’t give any credibility to traditional palm reading, I find the personality profile for people with simian lines interesting, as it matches me disturbingly with uncanny accuracy. Unlike most palm readings or horoscopes, the descriptions are not so vague as to be able to apply to anyone (although they are still somewhat abstract). The sole reason that I think there may be something to this is that a physical marker could perhaps correlate with certain personality traits. This seems at least possible, while standard palm reading or astrology is based on nothing.

According to western interpretations I cannot separate my thoughts from my emotions, as thinking and feeling is the same thing for me. I don’t know if I would go that far, but I definitely feel like my emotions are a byproduct of my consciousness as opposed to something innate. Other personality descriptions are that I am more intense than normal…while I would not have thought so it is something I get told frequently. Apparently I also have an increased stamina and a propensity for either great success or great failure. According to Chinese astrology, a double simian line means I am extraordinarily intelligent. It is unlikely any of these descriptions are accurate, but it interesting to think about. I just hope the correlation of simian lines and heart defects is meaningless.

There doesn’t seem to be a lot of info on simian lines online, and I got most of my information from the top few search results which tend to be mystical in nature, which are still entertaining to room. If anyone has more information on simian lines from a more reliable source, I would appreciate a link.

  1. this a link for the Ledgend of the perakee. People with the lines are called Perakees in native tongue.

  2. Only simian possessors know. Due to rarity that is why there is little online. There is an awakening in progress. Listen to yourself it will tell you because you already know.

  3. Hi, i am latif. I also hv double simien crease. What u hv mentioned is quite right. I strongly feel this difference of dominance of either heart or mind. I do feel, this driving force impacts every activity of my daily life. At times its like being a class apart feeling. This has a mix impact, mostly people fail to anticipate let it be issues related to life or love… Atleast my experience has been like this. There is nothing in between for any of my activity.

  5. Your observation is correct. I have double Simian lines. I am 62 and I had been told since birth that simian line people are extremely intelligent. You are holding fire in your hands because of your personal traits you can have great achievement BUT you can also create great destruction. Pros: extreme intelligence, very focused, great energy and stamina and direct result oriented. Cons: stubbornness, tunnel vision, inability to take criticism, result at all cost even sacrificing people around you. I have walked the journey and all these personal traits are true. I wrote a personal story about the journey published in 2010. “To Bank or Not To Bank: from pauper to millionaire, from hopeless to hopeful.” Make sure you maximize the pros and minimize the cons. You can have great accomplishment.

      • I think this is in the same league as astrology. There has never been demonstrated correlation between physical features and personality attributes.

        Comment by allthatiswrong — January 5, 2014 @ 9:43 am

        • All mythology that contains a message, astrology can also be likened to religion as well. Your world becomes what you subscribe to. “The world” is there regardless and does not have to subscribe to you. It is not nature vs. nurture, but nature that nurtures and one’s true nature isn’t actually far from that when you wipe away delusion and illusion you create for yourself. You are surrounded by belief and until you know what your own truly are, you will never be free just a product of another BS (belief system). Truth is found in silence and nature. “The world” is noisey and cares nothing for anyone, find your own balance devoid of emotion and preconcept aka presumption and you may see what you have not before.

          • I have no idea what you just said. I’m not trying to be rude, I really don’t know what point you are trying to make. To reinstate my point, there is no evidence that any physical characteristic has any correlation to a personality characteristic.

  6. I have a simian line on both my hands, I was told that this is rare but what had stunned doctors most was that a high percentage of the time, people inherit The simian line from either of their parents, yet neither of my parents had one, the doctor also said that it could have come from either of my grandparents on my mothers or fathers side, and none of them had it, they were shocked and had no explanation for my parents on how I inherited it, all they could say was it was one out of billions on the rarity.

    • I’ve never heard of it being heritable. That doesn’t seem to be the case….

      • Just happened to bump into this thread. I’m curious about that as well. But the double simian line runs in our family. My late father was a double simian (Scorpio), my sister (Aquarius), my nephew – son of my first cousin (Scorpio) and I (Scorpio). Seems like Scorpios in our family have a higher percentage in having a double-simian lineage.

  7. I have this line on both palms as well. My father had it on his left palm. I am as capable as anyone to manifest my intentions with great power; however, I have trouble with focus and determination (a typical Gemini trait?) Albeit rare or not, what we know to be true and how we wield our strengths is governed by what we chose to believe in that particular moment, and not by much of anything else~

  8. I think your approach to this is good – you’re sceptical, yet open-minded. You certainly don’t seem to have been swept away into a fantasy world of grandeur. We have to remember that there is a high possibility of individuals with Simian lines (myself included) with the potential for sociopathy. One manifestation of this is grandeur…. Which can easily manifest in the form of thinking you are of some special breed, for example like a Native American Indian “Perakee”, which was likely a story made up by someone online and perpetuated by Simian folk who want to feel special. If you question this or have a view that differs you get condemned as a “black Perakee”. Typical cult behaviour.

    Comment by Tony — February 19, 2014 @ 3:27 am

    • You mention ostracism and Perakee in the same breath. Certainly not true, in Perakee way, if you are condemned then you are doing the condemning and condemning yourself. If others condemn you it is yours if you accept it. Black is not like black sheep, the colors are analogy.. Perhaps too literal an interpetation on someone’s part. Someone who cannot stand on their own two feet cannot stand alone, period. There is no cult. I do agree you should question everything including yourself, in fact don’t believe me, can you believe yourself, what is it your belief based on? Challenge yourself with the answers then question them until you are sure youre sure. Also typical behavior to point fingers and presume things about things not understood, it causes dischord, discrimination, in worse case war and death, read history much?

    • Thanks. I thought there may be a correlation between physical characteristics and physical traits, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I was open to it because the common traits described seemed to match my own personality, although that seems to be just a coincidence.

  9. Hi All,

I am new to this..I have double creases…Like some of you…I always knew this was unusual esp my lines are different in general. Only line in common is simian…is there any proof of intelligence though> Any millionaires or great scientists with this physical feature? I agree on traits though….Im black an white..not grey and dont take criticism light, been told to be intelligent…

  10. I have double simian lines as well. All I can tell you is that I am a fine artist and have always been and will always be. At a young age, I was thought to be dyslexic, only to learn I had a genius IQ. At 54, I have had 9 back surgeries, quadruple bypass surgery and others (could this be because I am jewish also :)? I don’t know what or if these lines mean. I never looked into it, but have wondered. By the way, My Mom and daughter both have single lines.

  11. I have 2 simian lines and in Chinese palmistry, it’s not good for a woman. However, an excellent hand for a man. I do agree that at a certain level, I do get what I need or want if I focus on it (even when not really exerting effort). People say I am very intellectual (some people at work even called me an ‘alien’) because I like to look at complex things. Simple things don’t appeal to me at all. I can’t stand nonsensical, shallow/narrow minded people and as mush as I hate to admit it, I truly detest idiocy. There were people I met in my life who pretends to be intelligent and tries so hard to be philosophical as they talk but each sentence really makes no sense. I tend to keep quiet (my mother taught me to be polite, don’t say anything if you have nothing nice to say), though it can be seen clearly through my facial expressions. There were incidents also that I have exercised “the power of the mind” — yes, mental telepathy. It started when I was in high school, mentally ‘ordering/commanding’ my History teacher not to check the homework because I left my book at home… and I was surprised she announced to the class homework will be reviewed/checked the next day instead! I thought it might be coincidental so I tried it again the same day with my Biology teacher. I mentally ‘ordered’ her not to give us the oral quiz (which she does every time in class) and just for that day, she didn’t! I have stopped using mental telepathy because it caused me insomnia, migraine attacks (until now at the age of 37)… Just like everybody else here, I don’t really know what these lines mean but none from my family has it except me and my 3 year old toddler.

  12. I am also double simian. 46 years old. Done all sort of different profession . I did quite well in sales, real estate and pharmaceuticals. Now i am a transit bus driver. Suppose to be temporary due to young kids but now realized that I am more to offer. 3 roads are opening now. Funeral home sales, eg plots, funeral packages etc. Pay up to 6 figure in commission is one is good at it.
Road 2, life insurance sales. Closed my first case last week. road 3, an acting management position in the bus company.
I live in Canada. Yes, I know I am weird and since childhood, I was told that if i am in China, I could be a officer in the imperial palace!
My uncle has DS and he is a professor in Singapore. I am no where near there.
    Guess life goes on….

  13. Hi folks, I too have double head/heart lines. Very be to this, so extremely sceptical about all this. I’ve got to say – I don’t feel a connection with you all.. No different to anyone else persae. I guess you could say I’m a little different to others (but aren’t we all?). So some of my more peculiar defining character traits are that I daydream alot. I’m imaginative. Dream big. Passionate. Hot headed! Value honesty. Feel like I was put on earth for a reason. Want to make a difference. Have a good understanding / consideration of others. Care about others often more than myself. Perfectionist. Bit of a loner – introverted.. I like my own company. Very social when required but find it exhausting. I don’t have lots of stamina but blame this in my hiatus hernia. Would consider missus as having an average iq. Doubt consider myself special. Anyway thought I’d throw this out there to see what sticks. Peace out dudes.

  17. That’s a rather interesting take you have on the trends and discussion about Simian Lines. I have them on my both my palms and so does my identical twin.

I was never one to focus too much on the science of reading palms. However, I noticed the anomaly while observing that none of my friends, colleagues, relatives or any one ive met my entire life had the same type of lines on their palms as I possess, my only marker being my twin.

I’d say I’m rather impulsive while being overtly focussed on my work although I would not go as far as to attribute that to the lines on my palm.

My comment on this forum is strictly to assuage my curiosity and maybe learn a little more about Simian lines ans their implications.

    • You better believe it. Simian line is the mark of survivor. I have it in both palms and I am 65. Pros: intelligent, endless energy and stamina, very focused; Cons: tunnel vision, black and white mentality and stubborn. How to take advantage of being simian line people: take constructive criticism and be patient with others who cannot keep up with you. Believe me I have seen individual who has risen from being a refuge in a slum to being a director in a global bank.
